As we celebrate our 25 Years of business, we wanted to do something for our customers to represent our longevity, as well as our commitment to providing exceptional design build services.
It was Nik, one of our long-time and highly creative employees who suggested a time capsule as a special gift for all customers who renovate in 2024.
Time-capsule (noun)
1. A container holding historical records or objects representative of current culture that is deposited (as in a cornerstone) for preservation until discovery by some future age. Merriam-Webster.com
For anyone renovating this year, they will be gifted a special custom box to fill with items, to then be placed behind the wall or another pre-determined hidden spot prior to drywall.
Here are a few ideas of what you could include in your time capsule.
· a note and picture of your family (include a little information and don’t forget to date the letter)
· a grocery store flyer (to show current prices),
· current newspaper or magazine (because who knows how much longer they will be around for)
· memory key with before pictures, a little video walkthrough of the home before, floor plans or history of the home.
· a favorite family recipe
· a coin
· a stamp
· a list of top songs or artists
· a piece of the original renovation like a hinge, old wallpaper or small tile.
Don’t forget to decorate your time capsule! Grab a permanent marker and make sure to write the year and family name or individual names on the box. If you or the kids are an aspiring artist, add whatever decoration inspires you.
Before you place the time capsule in the walls or the floor, make sure you speak to our team, just to be sure it is a good safe spot. Don’t forget to send us a picture of you and your family putting the time capsule in the wall!
